Welcome to Asia Pacific Region Innovation & Capacity Building Symposium 2023 (APICS 2023)

APICS 2023 is jointly organised by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong, China (HKCAD) and the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy (HKIAA). With the support from the ICAO APAC Regional Office, APICS 2023 will be convened in-between the annual ICAO APANPIRG and RASG-APAC meetings to be hosted by HKCAD on 11-13 December and 18-19 December 2023 in Hong Kong respectively. The schedule is summarized below:
  • APANPIRG/34 – 11 to 13 December 2023 (Monday to Wednesday)
  • APICS 2023 – 14 to 15 December 2023 (Thursday to Friday)
  • RASG-APAC/13 – 18 to 19 December 2023 (Monday to Tuesday)
The Asia Pacific Region has been undergoing a fast pace of air traffic recovery. Timely planning and deployment of innovative technology and investment on capability building are of vital importance in further enhancing air navigation and airport operations and bringing tangible benefits in a sustainable manner.

Uniting the Strength of Innovation for Building a Seamless Sky
In line with the ICAO Assembly Resolution A40-27 on “Innovation in Aviation” and global initiatives on “Capacity Building”, APICS 2023 has set the theme of “Uniting the Strength of Innovation for Building a Seamless Sky” and will host keynote speeches and panels on innovation and capacity building, with global leading exhibitors assembling and showcasing their innovative solutions and capabilities via exhibitions, demonstrations and talks. Admission to the 2-day APICS 2023 including the Gala Dinner is free-of-charge.

APICS 2023 will bring together aviation leaders, decision-makers and senior professionals from Civil Aviation Authorities, Air Navigation Service Providers, Airport Operators and leading Systems/Solutions Integrators in the Asia Pacific Region and beyond in search for innovative solutions to further enhance air navigation and airport operations.
